BIO

Philip Horik is a painter based in Rotterdam located in The Netherlands. He grew up in the Old West in Rotterdam. His passion for art and painting arose when he first visited the exhibition of Szymkowicz and took Szymkowicz first work to pave this path as a painter, making expressionism and abstract expressionism the foundation of his work.

 

Ever since Philip was a teenager in the 1960's and 70's, he was painting and drawing. He later became a student at the Art School Willem de Kooning in Rotterdam, following various courses and workshops to build up his skills.

 

Today, Philip is always experimenting with different colors and techniques such as patterns tools. After painting for nearly 50 years he decided to make art his core business. His work can be seen on Saatchi Art.
